Grace Falls

Today we headed out to find Grace Falls in Odessa Gorge. First stop was Bear Lake - right off the road but you always have spectacular views of the high country. This is Bear Lake with Hallet Peak in the background.
Three miles through a beautiful forest and Odessa Gorge opens up before you with Notchtop dominating the skyline. From Lake Helene, we found the old trail down to Grace Falls and the west side of Odessa Lake.
Richard was nice enough to help me find the trail. This ended up being one of our all time favorite hikes in Rocky Mountain National Park.
Grace Falls did not have a lot of water flowing down the face, but the cascades from a neighboring stream made up for it. And the raspberries are still in season down here. Definitely on my top ten raspberry list.
